Pentecost Sunday
10am
Protocols for gathering for worship
Our guidelines are directed by information we receive from the Office of the Bishop.
-
Reservations for the live service will be required. Please call the church and let us know who and how many from your family will be attending. We need this information by the end of office hours the Wednesday before our Sunday gathering. (for May 23, reservations due on Weds., May 19.) Office hours are 8:30am-1:30pm.
-
The railing on the stairs was broken and will not be replaced in time for our first live service. We will have ushers available
to assist anyone who needs help with the stairs.
-
When you arrive on Sunday morning, we ask that you sign in.
-
Everyone will be required to wear masks. Social distancing will also be honored. Masks must cover your nose and mouth (except for the consumption of Eucharist).
-
We will all be glad to see friends and we request that you maintain social distance—6 feet.
-
Hand Sanitizer, gloves and mask will be provided if you forget yours.
-
You are welcome to bring your own chairs and cushions.
We will have folding chairs available.
-
If you want coffee or water, you will need to bring your own.
-
The bathrooms in the Parish Hall will be open for use. We ask that you assist us by uses sanitized wipes that will be available to clean after you have used the facilities.
-
All information for the service will be in the bulletin. We
are able to sing as long as we have on masks.
-
During the Peace, please remain in your area and give the peace sign to each other.
-
Rev. Twyla will have gloves on while passing out communion. Hold out your hand and she will put the wafer in your hand, do not touch her, please.
-
After you receive your wafer, there will be wine on both sides of Rev Twyla. Please utilize both sides and throw your cups away in trash cans provided.
-
There will be an offering plate on the table with the wine.
-
After the service is over, please maintain social distance while making it to your car.
-
Rev Twyla will be wearing gloves to serve communion to protect all of us. Please join your hands together and make a cup so that she can easily drop a wafer into your hands. We plan to use small paper cups for the wine. After you have consumed that wafer and wine, please put the paper cup in trash cans that will be provided.
-
At the end of the service, please take your bulletin home or recycle by putting the bulletin in the appropriate container.
-
We intend to offer the service on Zoom as well as going live.
It is my hope that we will be able to worship outside on the patio for the entire summer and hopefully during the fall. We will be watching the weather each week in order to give you current information. If we have bad weather, we will have the service on Zoom.
Please feel free to ask questions. Things may change and we will make every effort to keep you informed.
Blessings!
Twyla+
